DesignOps & Leadership

During my time as a Vice President at Blackstone, I led DesignOps initiatives and played a broader UX leadership role within the technology organization.

When I joined Blackstone, the UX Team was still maturing. I invested heavily in UX advocacy and education, helping build greater understanding of the role and value of UX across product and technology teams. While leading the UX Team, I established a centralized UX model and introduced foundational methodologies, standards, and ways of working that enabled the practice to scale across the firm.

I also represented UX on the Product Advisory Committee (PAC), contributing to product strategy and overseeing DesignOps, governance, and experience standards across the broader technology organization.

Design operations, education, and enablement were central to this work. I institutionalized the enterprise Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) and developed the resources needed to put it into practice, including UX standards, Figma training and guidance, and reusable templates for product, design, and engineering.

Together, these initiatives strengthened cross-functional collaboration, created more consistent ways of working, and helped teams deliver products more effectively.
